Love isn’t what’s it’s like on tv

It’s more beautiful in the simplest way

It’s waking up and knowing that you want that person every day

It’s not about dependence

It’s mutual independence

It’s knowing that although you won’t die without them

Life would lose it’s shine if you weren’t with them

It’s not about everything being perfect

And having storybook romance

It’s always being able to overcome every challenge life throws at you

Together, because you work so great like a well-oiled machine

It’s about always being there for each other

Even if your opinions differ

You’re ready to sacrifice everything for this one person

Because their happiness is the best feeling in the world

You still care for yourself and your hopes and dreams

But caring for them is part of that

because they somehow became a part of you

That you didn’t know you needed but now you’re glad you have it

Love is hard to find but it’s worth it

It may take lots of trial and error

And horrible heartbreak

But once you find it you won’t care about the past

You’ll be too busy planning the future

And living your best life with the one you love

Love isn’t easy

It’s not supposed to be

Because then we wouldn’t try

You may not always succeed but the fact that you tried is more than enough
